Overview: Manufacture Your Dream is a hands-on engineering and racing competition organized by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers for graVITas 2026 . The event combines teamwork, creativity, and friendly competition into an engaging challenge where participants build and race their own vehicles. The competition consists of two core phases: The Assembly Phase: Teams receive all required tools and materials to assemble a remote-controlled car as quickly and accurately as possible under expert guidance. The Racing Phase: Assembled vehicles hit a specially designed track to compete in multi-round heat races testing speed and handling through to the semi-finals and final. Winners are determined by the lowest combined total time (Assembly Time + Racing Time). The top overall finishers take home cash prizes from the event pool! Guidelines & Details: Format: Hands-on Hardware Assembly + Track Racing Rounds: Initial Heats → Semi-Finals → Final Race Team Structure: Team-based event Single Participation: If you register without a team, a team will be assigned/arranged for you at the venue. Inter-College Teams Allowed: Yes Inter-Specialization Teams Allowed: Yes Duration: Slot-based execution. Participants will be notified of their allotted time slot prior to the event. Rules & Regulations: Adherence to Instructions: Pay strict attention to all preliminary technical instructions; they are critical for assembling a functional car. Component Care: All components, materials, and remote assemblies must be handled with utmost care. Any intentional damage or negligence resulting in broken hardware will lead to instant disqualification . Punctuality & Check-In: Participants must arrive at the venue strictly at their allotted time slot with their official College ID Cards . Track Safety: For safety and competition integrity, touching or interfering with the race track during an active heat is strictly prohibited. Support & Assistance: Event managers and guides will be available on-site at all times to address queries and assist with technical issues.
