About the Opportunity: WIE HackEarth 2.0 2026 is a Pan-India hackathon organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group under the IEEE Galgotias University Student Branch , with IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) as co-organizer and in collaboration with Medhasphere, the Departmental Club of AI/ML . Built around the theme "Empowering Women. Engineering a Sustainable, Intelligent Future," the hackathon aims to bring together students and innovators to develop technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to transform ideas into practical solutions while demonstrating innovation, technical skills, creativity, teamwork, and human-centred problem-solving. The hackathon focuses on creating solutions with meaningful social and environmental impact . Highlights: Pan-India Hackathon Theme: Empowering Women. Students, developers, innovators, technology enthusiasts, and problem-solvers are encouraged to participate. Every team must have at least one female member. Team size : 2-4 member Participants are expected to follow all submission and participation guidelines provided by the organizers. Hackathon Rounds Round 1 - Registration & PPT Submission Registration Timeline: 2 November 2026, 12:00 PM - 16 November 2026, 11:59 PM Register your team through Unstop during the registration window. Teams will be required to submit their PPT/idea presentation for the screening round. The official PPT Template will be updated on this opportunity page within the next couple of days. Participants must prepare and submit their PPT according to the prescribed template and guidelines. Teams should ensure that their submission is clear, complete, and appropriately structured as per the official template. PPT Screening Round 10 November 2026 - 16 November 2026 Submitted PPTs will be reviewed and evaluated by the organizing team. Shortlisting will be based on the quality and potential of the proposed idea, along with its innovation, feasibility, relevance, and impact. Teams are advised to carefully follow the official PPT template while preparing their submissions. Results Announcement 16 November - 18 November 2026 Shortlisted teams will be announced during this period. Selected teams will receive further instructions regarding the final offline hackathon. Round 2 - Final Offline Hackathon Shortlisted teams will participate in the final offline hackathon at Galgotias University, Greater Noida . Shortlisted teams will be required to pay an entry fee of up to ₹400 per team for participation in the final offline round. Special Benefit for All-Female Teams: If all members of a team are female, the team will be eligible for a 50% discount on the final offline hackathon entry fee . Teams will work on their ideas and develop practical solutions addressing real-world challenges. Further details regarding the final offline hackathon will be communicated to shortlisted teams. Rules: Every team must have at least one female member. Teams must submit their PPT according to the official template provided by the organizers. Participants must ensure that their submitted information and idea are accurate and complete. Teams must follow all instructions and deadlines communicated by the organizers. Any form of plagiarism, copied work, cheating, or misconduct may lead to disqualification. Participants must maintain professional and respectful conduct throughout the event.
